So anyone with an SS and a flashtuner care to send me the stock image so i can drive my new rig past 7 miles? I cant see where it could hurt the ecu if all u did was read from it. and now the cryin starts (and the car doesnt) i'm guessing i corrupted the image somehow because i get a code 50 now which is faulty ecu epromm or in my own interpretation "bad map" i reflashed a couple different 16 maps and it will start and run but not able to drive it as previously stated. Talked to Kirk ftecu and he was very cool with me and within about 2 hours sent me an email saying flash away, so i did, and it then successfully flashed the image to the ecu. well it wouldnt flash the image because it was new enough that ftecu didnt have it in their system yet. Mind you at this point i was as proud as a possum eatin shit that i had thought to back it up before i risked screwin the 600 dollar pooch. So i proceeded to reflash the stock image back to the new SS ecu. It of course did not, started and ran(like shit), but did not have any gear selecting capability whatsoever, no reverse no drive no paddle actuation and all of a sudden. I decided to try the 16 unrestricted map and see if it would yield any benefit. So i guess i didnt think about it at length, that the new partially automated transmission would likely have some data stored on the ecu. So obviously the first thing i did was back up the stock image present in the SS ecu. ![]() So after i threw on the dasa pipe and fuel inj tuner, i decided id see what i could see about removing the speed limiter and so on, via the FTecu bench side tuner. I'll go ahead and take a bow, and you all can decide what kind of Dodo of the year award i have earned.
